North Vancouver Home Staging - Lower Lonsdale "Before & After" Photos

My Vancouver Home Staging Company, Exit Stage Right, was very happy to stage this vacant townhouse, located on Lower Lonsdale in North Vancouver.  The location for the townhouse is fantastic, situated only one block from the Lonsdale Quay Market, and a quick Sea Bus ride away from downtown Vancouver.  Everything is within walking distance.

North Vancouver Home Staging-before & after photosThe townhouse itself looked pretty stark, bare, and uninviting with no furniture, colour or life to the property.  The beige walls and empty, cavernous space was not very appealing to a young, urban professional or couple, who are looking for a certain lifestyle.  Enter Exit Stage Right!  Alright, I will admit that I will be traveling off to Paris this weekend, and was perhaps influenced by the excitement my future trip holds.  I couldn't help myself.  I went with a Euro-Parisian theme.  Can you spot the Eiffel Towers?!!  To me, there are many parallels between this townhouse and an apartment you might find in Paris.  Because Lonsdale Quay Market is so close, you could very easily shop for fresh produce every day of the week, just like the Parisians.  Also, around the corner are some wonderful bistros and restaurants, including Italian, Greek, French (!), Japanese, Irish and British/Canadian fare.

By adding a little "ooh la la" to this townhouse, we are able to capture the sophisticated buyer who is looking for a little slice of Europe in the heart of Lower Lonsdale.  Of special note: the townhouse right next door is also for sale.  The owners of that townhouse have not staged their property property for sale.  It is slightly bigger, with a higher price tag than the $750,000 for this townhouse, but it will be interesting to see which property sells first.  I'll keep you posted on the developments.

Sally ~ you gave this townhome a chic, sophisticated feeling that buyers will love!  Your presentation online is fantastic too  :-)

Have a blast in Paris and be sure to take photos to share with us OK?

Sally--Wow, is all I can say.  No I can say more--take me to Paris.  It is my favorite city in the world.  Okay, back to the main topic--your staging is gorgeous as usual and I will be surprised if that townhouse is still on the market when you return from Paris.

Sally.....Oh so CHIC!  You are becoming the go to stager in Vancouver for these great condo's....which can be a challenge in many ways!!  You made this very very chic!!!

Sally. You are so clever. Of course I could spot the Eiffel Tower - cut into 3 parts of the the photo. I love your furniture arrangement. Have a good time in Paris, you lucky girl.

Beautiful!  I saw this on Google + and had to hop over here to AR to ensure you had posted it here as well.

I love the detail shot in that last photo. It's dreamy!

Congratulations. Your home staging is being featured in the group Staging Before and After Pictures.

Salgal, great pix as always! Way to make that condo a place folks will want to buy! Love the pic in the dining room!

Fred - Glad you like it.  Sure, you can carry my bags, but only if I get a nice slice of that freshly baked blackberry pie "a la mode"!

Maureen - I did have fun "staging" this post...  Oh yes, I'll take lots of photos - be prepared to be inundated!

Janet - Hey, Paris is my favourite city in the world, too!  Second place goes to Venice.  Yes, it would be lovely to come back to a sold townhouse.

Kathy - Actually, the condos and townhouses to come with their challenges.  The layout for this townhouse was very long and narrow.  It was tough to fit the 2-seat sofa in and still leave room for people to walk through.

Roger - Merci, merci!  That bay window was crying for 2 chairs and a side table.  It just made sense.  I was aiming for simple & chic.  Sometimes I put too many items into a room, so I really tried to hold myself back and go with "less is more".

Valerie - Oh, I knew you'd have an eagle eye.  The photos to the left of the fireplace are also the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe, but it's hard to tell with the glare.  The glass lamp's base are also in the shape of an Eiffel Tower (ok, I went a little crazy)...

Kathy - That was my first post on Google+.  Did I accidentally send it out to my whole readership?  I hope not - don't want to bug people.  I love your "Staging Before & After Photos" group - it's one of my faves!  I love those little glass urchin vases, too - they're so delicate and this townhouse is located near the ocean. so thought it tied in.

Posted by Sally Weatherley-Exit Stage Right-Vancouver BC (EXIT STAGE RIGHT) 9 months ago

Maria - That dining nook was only 4'7" wide!  I used a 32" D glass bistro table to maximize the space, but it was a challenge!  What was that builder thinking?!!!!

Wendy - Mutual admiration here.  I love your work, also.  Thanks so much.

Peggy Sue!  I know - that pic in the dining nook just makes me laugh.  I've had it in my inventory for a while, just waiting for the perfect spot to hang it.

Posted by Sally Weatherley-Exit Stage Right-Vancouver BC (EXIT STAGE RIGHT) 9 months ago

Great job Sally, that is one chic looking condo, definitely very European looking. I did spot the Eiffel tower in the picture as well as a knife and fork.  Have fun in Paris, this is a great time of year to travel.

Posted by Malcolm Johnston, Trenton Real Estate (Century 21 Lanthorn Real Estate LTD., Trenton, Ontario) 9 months ago

Malcolm - I know that knife and fork was very hard to spot, so good for you!!!  I shall be running around the house, singing "I love Paris in the Springtime...  I love Paris in the Fall"...  Will take lots of photos and bore you silly when I get home.  A bientot!

Posted by Sally Weatherley-Exit Stage Right-Vancouver BC (EXIT STAGE RIGHT) 9 months ago

Oooo la la!  C'est un bon chose!  Forgive my poor, forgotten French!  I did spot the lamp base as well as the tri-parte Tour photo!  Gorgeous work, gorgeous post - have a super time in Fraaaaaaaance!

Sally, I love touch of blue through out and your photo's frames. I am jealous in a good way. Have a great time in Paris. I that you BDay voyage?

Posted by Anna Dovger~Home Staging ~The Woodlands, TX (Add Value Home Staging LLC, 281-704-6607) 9 months ago

Julie - I knew that you of all people would appreciate the Eiffel Towers.  Unfortunately, the design is lacking in "cloches", but maybe the next stage will have a cloche or two.  Thanks so much - Paris here we come!

Anna - I was originally thinking of doing a black & white design, but I couldn't help myself and had to add some colour!  Yes, you have a very good memory.  My birthday is at the end of September, and it's one of those horrible birthdays with a big, fat zero at the end, so I figured Paris should be now!

"Ooooohh La La" to say the least!  I couldn't even type at first as I was so busy picking my jaw off the floor!  LOL  Just kidding!  I am not the least bit surprised at the sexy, sophisticated, luxurious and stunning look you have put together in this condo!  That blue is absolutely an eye stopper!  Eiffel towers?  In one of your spaces?  He he he, I always have my eye's searching for those!  Incredible work as always Sally.  I hope you have a fantastic time in Paris.  Take lots of photo's!

Sharon - You know, I think I could happily live there, too!

Laura - You always crack me up!  Too funny.  Want to know the best news of all?  After just going on the market this Labour Day weekend (read slow and everyone away), it SOLD!  Woo hoo!  This client has a 2nd apartment he now wants staged.  Love it!  And oh yes, I will be snapping pictures like mad in Paris!

HI Sally, what an incredible staging job you did there, I never get tired of looking at before and afters from stagers...simply amazing....thank you so much for your comments on my RE/MAX post.....and it's funny, but when I made the decision to join them recently and the whole cat conundrum came up, I thought of that too.....but I think we are going to go with another option...come on back to see.

I love the color scheme Sally!! The black and white with the tiny touch of teal/turquoise is stunning. Say....what happened to the spoon? LOL

Hi John!  Oh, you tease.  Come on - what's the name of your new cat - did he come back, by the way?  Sure hope so.  You are always such a huge staging supporter - we Stagers really appreciate that.  Congratulations again on joining RE/MAX, I know you'll do well!

Shar - Ok, the townhouse sold, so we're now moving the stage to an apartment on the 15th floor, owned by the same Seller.  This time, there's an incredible view of the ocean, so the blue glass will tie in beautifully.  Yes, I'm going to have to fly down to Minneapolis to collect that spoon - great minds think alike!

Posted by Ana Pierron (Ana Kat Designs) 9 months ago

Sheila - THANK YOU!  Had a lot of fun staging this townhouse and it sold very quickly - hurray!

Ana - Welcome to Active Rain!  The little sea urchins come from Liberty's - I fell in love with them when I saw them.  I like that term "West Coast classy"!

Posted by Sally Weatherley-Exit Stage Right-Vancouver BC (EXIT STAGE RIGHT) 9 months ago

Oh now that is just way tooo "Ooooo la la", but I am not at all surprised!  Are you going to be able to get that done before you are off to Paris?  How incredibly exciting!

Posted by Laura S. Baker, (920) 728-4118, Realtor ~ First Weber Group (South Central WI, bakerl@firstweber.com) 9 months ago

Laura - In the end, the other apartment sold before I could get to it!  It has an amazing view of the ocean, so no surprise.  I staged another condo this morning instead - took half the day, then I went shopping this afternoon and am packing tonight for the flight tomorrow!  What fun!
