Heritage Home Arts & Crafts Home Staging-Before & After Photos
Our Vancouver, B.C. home staging company, Exit Stage Right, was called in to home stage this charming arts & crafts bungalow, built in 1914. The home had beautiful bones, with wonderful, refinished wainscoting, lots of built-ins and nooks and crannies.
However, the house just needed a little icing on the cake. With all the woodwork, the home seemed a little dark and stark. We brought in some softness with flowers, lightened up the dark wood by adding light coloured cushions, brought in a bit of spring with a cream and bright green colour combination, and added glamour and bling with shiny accessories, such as mercury glass vases.

Sally ~ what wonderful staging of this classic heritage home! (BTW I see lovely evidence of your Francophile-ness all over the place :-) Love the fresh spring colors and florals, and the charm that you added to the home's built-ins and furnishings. I'm sure that buyers are going to walk in and fall in love!
I knew it would be DARLING!!! The whites and pop's of color are so inviting and fresh!! Trey (or however you spell it) chic!!!
Once again, you hit the mark with your style and flair Sally. Love the pops of color and the carefully selected appointments............charming.
You made it feel like a home versus a house and that's what sells.
Congratulations. Your home staging is being featured in the group Staging Before and After Pictures.

Sally - You did a beautiful job transforming this already beautiful home into something really special! I love the white and green combination - it updates the space, yet fits perfectly with the home's traditional style!
Ooo ooo ooo! I've been waiting fo rthese photos - super choice on the green accent color! Makes all that wood work for today! Love the flokati pillows!
Maureen - Mais oui! You know I can't help myself!
Kathy - Tres chic? Merci!
Roger - "carefully selected appointement" - oh, I'm so going to use that line in future!
Kathy N - Thank you so much for the big, gold, beautiful, shiny star!
Kristine - Thanks! I was going for "transitional" - the pops of spring green make it more current without taking away from the charm of yesteryear.
Julie - I love flokati pillows too! They are always appropriate!
Sally - you've done a beautiful job. I love the pop of green and have used it in our Victorian home too. I'm sure the Seller is thrilled!!
Seeing the radiator in the photo shows that the ornate iron grills that sometimes conceal the rads, are missing, as are a few in my home. They used to have marble tops that wouldn't be affected by the heat. We have created a metal shelf or sleeve that fits onto ourrads and allow for plants, etc to be displayed in front of the windows, but still allows the heat to dissipate.
Thanks for sharing your photos with us.
Susan - Wouldn't it be wonderful if the new owner somehow put a metal sleeve over the grills as you have? I love the sound of a marble shelf, too. I expect I'll be de-staging this house very soon - agent's open of Friday, open house on Saturday, then accepting offers on Monday!
Love the green and white combo, looks so fresh and spring like. Always, always lovee mercury glass, I'm sure the sellers are thrilled. Thanks for sharin.
Thanks, Elizabeth, I love to add reflective pieces - gotta love that bling!
Super job as always. I just love the look you give spaces!!!! I'm a fan!
Sally I absolutely love character homes. Your choice of accessories, art and furniture transformed this beautiful home into a charming lovely living space. Congrats to you...another great work of art.
Debra - Sorry for the late response - thank you so much!
Wendy - I really have a soft spot for character homes, too. I just love the creaks and groans of the old floors. I think I could have happily moved into this home. Thanks for your nice comments!
