WHAT IS A HOME STAGING ACCESSORY PACKAGE?

A home stager offers many services, including staging a vacant property, or a furnished property.  If the home is vacant or empty, a home stager can organize rental furniture while your home is on the market.  Along with furniture, a home stager also rents out accessories.  It’s often the accessories that really make a space come alive.

One way to rent out accessories is to take the cost of the accessory, then rent it out at 10 – 20% of the original cost.  For example, if I purchase a vase for $20, I can rent it out at between  $1 - $2.  You can just imagine how tedious it would be to count up every small amount, especially when homes can be staged with quite a few accessories.  That’s why at Exit Stage Right, we charge one lump sum for all the accessories, rather than adding up 50 cents here and a dollar there.  Some stagers cost out accessories separately from bedding, towels and small artwork.  Our company lumps all these items into one category, the accessory package, and charges one amount.  Sometimes we add extra accessories to the home on staging day; however, your quoted amount remains the same. 

Are accessories kept up to date?  At Exit Stage Right, we pride ourselves in constantly turning over new accessories so that your home staging looks up to date and current.  Of course, with the recent year end sales, we’ve added many new accessories at a lower cost to us, and therefore a lower cost to you, our client.

These wonderful vases come from one of my favourite stores, 18 Karat.  18 Karat carries unique, organic, one of a kind glassware, plant containers, and furniture.  I find the tall, slim shape of the vases, and the smoky glass to be very appealing.   These vases would look great in a modern condo or a contemporary space.

Accessorizing a home can really turn heads and grab a home buyer's attention; buyers will linger longer and not be focused on rushing to the next open house.
